Project Description

Let’s Digital focuses on entrepreneurship as a ‘transversal skillset, which applies to all spheres of life: from nurturing personal development, to actively participating in society, to (re)entering the job market as an employee or as a self-employed person, and also to starting up ventures (cultural, social or commercial)’ (EntreComp Framework). The actions of the project will tackle all major causes that prevent the entrepreneurial activity of migrant women in the participating country, namely lack of mentorship, of entrepreneurial learning and of self-confidence and awareness among migrant women.

Entrepreneurial learning can enhance the labour participation of migrant women underrepresented in the European labour market. Entrepreneurship plays an important role in the EU economy and society as a driver of innovation and job creation (OECD/European Union, 2017).

Let’s Digital supports VET trainers with relevant digital tools and distance training methodology adapted to the learning needs of migrant women. The outputs will modernise the way the current training schemes are implemented thanks to an innovative online platform accessible from many devices. In this way, Let’s Digital reinforces the capacity of trainers to provide high-quality training for female migrants affected by the negative outcomes of the pandemic restrictions.

The proposed solutions are the results of an inter-sector approach: Let’s Digital replies to the needs of the VET sector educators to be equipped with distance learning methodology and of the migrant and women association in need of training adapted to real challenges caused by the pandemic.
